About Animana integration with CoVet
Overview
The Animana integration connects CoVet to your clinic’s Animana account, making it easy to import appointments and export clinical notes directly to patient records.
Appointments come into CoVet as cases, already matched to the right patient and vet. When a record is finished, you preview it and send it back to Animana as a new consult, with each section in History, Findings, Diagnosis or Therapy.
Get started with your Clinic ID, choose your team, and set up your preferences to suit your clinic’s workflow.
How does it work?
Importing Appointments. CoVet checks Animana on the schedule you choose, from hourly to every 12 hours, or whenever you click Import & Sync. Running a sync again updates your cases without creating duplicates.
Importing Histories. Switch it on and CoVet adds two documents to each imported case: a short background summary and a detailed history grouped by record type. You choose what goes in: consults, notes, visit forms, weights and body condition scores, lab results.
Mapping Exports. Each CoVet template section maps to History, Findings, Diagnosis or Therapy. Before you send, preview exactly how the record will look in Animana, deselect any section you don’t need, and choose an exact copy or a version adjusted for Animana with your own instructions.
Matching Vets. Match each CoVet team member to their Animana vet once during setup, so appointments land with the right person.
Pricing
The Animana integration is included with every paid CoVet subscription at no extra cost. There is no per-server or per-user fee, and nothing extra appears on your CoVet invoice.

How to get connected
- Find your Animana Clinic ID in your browser’s address bar. It’s the text before “.animana.com”.
- In CoVet, open My Account → Integrations/Connections and click Connect on the Animana tile.
- Enter your Clinic ID and Activation Code, choose the team the connection belongs to, and save.
- Match your CoVet team members to their Animana vets.
- Choose how imported cases are named, then map your template sections to History, Findings, Diagnosis and Therapy.
- Check the sample export and confirm. You can change any setting later from the gear icon on the Animana tile.

- A CoVet account.
- An active Animana account with permission to connect integrations.
- Your Animana Clinic ID, from your Animana web address.
