Overview
Vetlexicon Client Handouts let your team share thousands of pre-made educational materials with pet owners straight from CoVet - covering medication administration, chronic conditions, preventatives, and more.
Once enabled, CoVet suggests relevant handouts based on the case content. Preview as PDFs, send via email with a personal note, or attach to discharge summaries - all without leaving the patient record.
How does it work?
Smart, case-aware suggestions. CoVet reviews the case content and surfaces relevant handouts so your team isn't searching a library for every visit.
Preview before sending. Open any handout as a PDF and confirm it's the right resource before it reaches the client.
Flexible delivery. Email handouts directly to clients with a personal note, download as PDFs, or attach them to discharge summaries.
Multiple access points. Available from the case page, the content/templates area, and inside discharge summaries.

How to get connected
- Open Settings → Tools in your CoVet workspace.
- Toggle Client Handouts on. No additional configuration is required.
- Open any case and access Vetlexicon-suggested handouts directly from the case page.
Prerequisites
- An active CoVet account.
- User-level toggle in Settings → Tools (each user can enable for themselves).
