About PetBooqz integration with CoVet
Overview
Setting up the PetBooqz integration lets CoVet import your PetBooqz appointments as cases and export your finished records back into PetBooqz, so each case stays tied to the right patient.
Setup is a two-sided activation: you collect your clinic's API credentials in PetBooqz under Preferences > Integrations > CoVet, then enter them in CoVet and match your team to their PetBooqz provider records.
Images embedded in documents are not included when exporting to PetBooqz.
How does it work?
Credentialed connection. You collect your clinic's API credentials in PetBooqz under Preferences > Integrations > CoVet, then enter them in CoVet to complete the connection. The Integrations section is only available to PetBooqz users with admin access.
Appointment import. PetBooqz appointments import into CoVet as cases. You review how imported cases will be named during setup, and can change the naming format at any point.
Provider matching. You match each CoVet team member to how they appear as a provider in PetBooqz, so every imported appointment is assigned to the right person and records export back under the correct provider.
Field mapping. Choose which PetBooqz record fields map to each section of your CoVet documents, then preview how the information will appear before anything is exported.
Template-level control. Update the mappings for any template later under Templates: open the template details and select Preview for PetBooqz.
Pricing
The PetBooqz integration carries no additional fee, but it does require a paid CoVet subscription. It is not available during a free trial.

How to get connected
- In CoVet, click your name in the navigation to open My Account, then select Integrations/Connections.
- Find the PetBooqz tile and click Connect.
- Review the setup steps and the limitations listed for this practice management system, then continue.
- In PetBooqz, go to Preferences > Integrations and select CoVet to access your clinic's API credentials.
- Enter those credentials in CoVet when prompted, then follow the on-screen steps to complete the connection.
- Match your CoVet team members to how they appear as providers in PetBooqz.
- Review how imported appointments will appear, including case naming and which PetBooqz record fields map to each document section.
- Confirm the setup complete message. Your PetBooqz integration is ready to use.
Prerequisites
- A paid CoVet subscription. The integration cannot be enabled during a free trial.
- A PetBooqz account with admin access, since the Integrations section is admin-only.
- Your clinic's PetBooqz API credentials, found under Preferences > Integrations > CoVet.
