For Veterinary Students
Learn to Use Veterinary AI Before You Enter Practice
AI is already part of veterinary medicine. Vet school is the right place to learn to use it well, while a clinician still checks your work.
CoVet gives students practical experience with AI-assisted veterinary workflows while reinforcing the habits that matter most: clinical judgment, careful review, verification, and responsibility for the final record.
Free while you’re in school, plus 8 months after you graduate. See how to claim it.

The one habit
Write It Yourself First. Then Check It.
If you build one habit now, make it this one.
Students who write their own note and then compare it against AI output keep their quality, and the ones who were struggling improve. Writing first keeps your reasoning sharp, especially in the assessment and plan, and comparing afterward is where you learn the most.
You can’t always feel the difference from the inside, so make the order a habit, not a case-by-case choice.
You write the first draft. AI is your second set of eyes.
On rotation
Practice the Notes You’ll Write for Your Whole Career
As you move into clinical rotations, use CoVet to practice the documentation you'll be doing for the rest of your career: patient histories, SOAP notes, problem lists, discharge instructions, client summaries, referral letters, treatment plans.
Some instructors will switch off parts of the template, like the assessment and plan, so you work those through yourself. That’s on purpose. Your clinical reasoning lives in those sections, and it gets stronger with practice.
Patient records
Work With Complex Patient Information
Veterinary medicine rarely comes neatly packaged.
Use CoVet to organize a patient’s history, pull out what’s relevant, and work through long records. Then you decide what matters clinically.
You’re learning to use AI as a clinical tool while the thinking stays with you.
Study
Use CoVet to Study, Too
With permission, you can also use CoVet with your own notes, PDFs and course materials.
Turn them into summaries, study guides, practice questions, and concept reviews.
The more of the work you do yourself, the more you learn:
- Good
Summarizing a semester of material into something navigable.
- Better
Turning that material into quiz questions and practice cases you then have to answer. Generating beats consuming; you're back in the loop.
Good habits
Use AI Responsibly
Always follow your school’s policies and get permission before recording lectures, discussions, or clinical conversations.
Read everything the AI writes before you use it. Check what’s accurate, what’s missing, and what needs to change.
You’ll use these same habits on every shift once you’re in practice.
