CoVet has joined IDEXX

Documentation is one of the heaviest burdens in veterinary practice. Notes get written between appointments, after hours, and at home. It is the part of the job that follows you out of the building. CoVet was built to take that off your hands. Tens of thousands of veterinary professionals across six continents now use it every day, in more than 100 languages, to capture and organise information across a patient's care. Today we are sharing some exciting news. CoVet has been acquired by IDEXX, a global leader in pet healthcare innovation. **What changes for CoVet customers today** Nothing. You log in the same way. The product works exactly as it does now. Your notes and your history are where you left them. CoVet keeps working with the practice management systems you already use, IDEXX or not. You get support the same way you always have, from the same team. There is no action for you to take. **Why IDEXX** Every conversation we had about this came back to the same place. There are a lot of veterinary teams we have not reached yet, and they are doing this the hard way in the meantime. The same late notes, the same evenings lost, the same slow erosion of why people joined this profession. We have already built the answer to that. Getting it to them sooner mattered more to us than getting there on our own. Our co-founder and Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Mike Mossop, helped build CoVet around the challenges he experienced in veterinary practice. That perspective helped shape what we looked for in a partner. "We built CoVet to help veterinary teams spend less time on documentation and more time on the work they love. There are clinics in countries we do not serve yet, working in languages we do not support yet, carrying exactly the same documentation burden as the clinics that found us three years ago. IDEXX's global presence gives us the opportunity to bring CoVet to more veterinary teams and better support the needs of practices in different countries. It also means we can keep building at the speed our users have come to expect, with more behind us. More countries. More languages. Deeper support for enterprise groups and academic programmes. More integrations and partnerships across the veterinary software industry, not fewer. Documentation was where we started. It was never meant to be the whole of what this becomes, and our co-founder and CEO, Yannick Bloem, has been saying so since long before this deal existed.
