Supporting BC’s Independent Clinics with AI-Powered Veterinary Tools

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SAN FRANCISCO – June 3, 2025 - CoVet, the AI-powered clinical co-pilot built by and for veterinary professionals, is proud to announce its partnership with the West Coast Veterinary Resource Collective (WCVRC)—a group dedicated exclusively to supporting independent veterinary hospitals across British Columbia.

Through this collaboration, WCVRC member clinics will gain access to CoVet’s full suite of AI tools at a preferred rate, including automated SOAP generation, real-time transcription, client communication features, and customizable workflows—all designed to save time and reduce administrative burden for veterinary teams.

“We’re proud to partner with WCVRC to support the incredible work being done by independent clinics across British Columbia,” said Yannick Bloem, CEO & Co-Founder of CoVet. “These teams are the backbone of their communities, and we’re committed to helping them reduce admin, protect clinical time, and continue delivering the highest standard of care.”

WCVRC operates under the umbrella of AVP but functions as a distinct collective, serving only qualifying independent practices within the province. This partnership with CoVet ensures that those clinics have access to forward-thinking tools while maintaining the flexibility, identity, and independence that defines them.

The CoVet platform is now available to all WCVRC member clinics, with onboarding support and clinic-specific setup tailored to the needs of smaller, independent teams.

Why Clinical Excellence Must Be Built Into Veterinary AI

Clinical excellence in veterinary AI requires more than having veterinarians endorse a product. Veterinary professionals should influence product requirements, templates, testing, quality review, localization, implementation, support, and education. CoVet uses an in-house Medical Department led by Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Mike Mossop, alongside DVMs, RVTs, specialty advisors, and other team members with veterinary-practice experience to keep clinical workflows connected to product development.
