The initiative will introduce CoVet across LMU-CVM’s academic programs and affiliated clinical settings while leveraging the platform to help improve student outcomes, documentation, and clinical workflows.
CoVet, the veterinary industry’s leading AI copilot platform, today announced a new partnership with Lincoln Memorial University- Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) to introduce CoVet across the University’s academic and clinical training programs.
Students, faculty, and clinical educators will receive access to CoVet during case-based learning, lectures, collaborative discussions, and clinical training at affiliated sites. The partnership will utilize AI-assisted documentation to support clinical communication, efficient workflows, and students’ transition from veterinary school into practice.
LMU-CVM's distributed model places students in affiliated veterinary hospitals, where they gain hands-on experience with the standards, workflows, and responsibilities of daily clinical work. The partnership reflects the university's position at the forefront of innovation adoption, preparing students through direct exposure to the real-world environments where they will build their careers.

The partnership will also include an educational research project evaluating CoVet’s role in documentation quality, workflow efficiency, communication, and student learning. LMU-CVM and CoVet will develop the research framework and measures together as the program progresses.
As AI-assisted documentation becomes more common in veterinary practice, schools need practical ways to teach students how to use it thoughtfully, review its output, and apply their own clinical judgement. Because LMU-CVM students train across affiliated veterinary hospitals, the program will examine how these tools work across different teams, workflows, and practice environments.
